Tyler Barker founded Old Sorrell Engineering PLLC in 2020 to stay plugged into telecom industry while stepping back from fulltime employment as a stay-at-home dad during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After finishing his MBA from Kelley School of Business @ Indiana University in 2021, Tyler hopes to combine his engineering mind, telecom experience, and business acumen to support Telecom firms as they navigate their digital transformations.

He graduated from NC State with a BS Civil Engineering and BS History, followed by a MS Civil Engineering. Entering the tower industry in 2010, he spent 5 years at American Tower, including leading structural engineering teams and managing the GTP acquisition for the engineering team. He joined Telamon (formerly CLS Group) in 2015 and, as Director of Engineering for the last 4 years, tripled the engineering department and opened two additional offices in Denver, CO and Pune, India.
